LUISA: Here I've got an empty tube. Look inside the tube. It's completely empty, right?

EMILY: Yes, it's completely empty!

LUISA: Are you sure?

EMILY: Yes! There's nothing!

LUISA: OK! Let's see if you're right. Abracadabra!

EMILY: Woah! I can't believe it!

LUISA: Today we're going to show you how to do 'the magic tube trick' so you can surprise your friends.

EMILY: Yes!

LUISA AND EMILY: Let's do it!

EMILY: So, to make 'the magic tube trick' we just need two pieces of card of the same colour, some sticky tape, scissors and some ribbons.

LUISA: So, the first thing to do is to roll the first piece of card into a tube shape and stick it down with sticky tape.

EMILY: OK, now what?

LUISA: The second step is to roll the other piece of card into a cone shape and stick it down with sticky tape.

That's great! Now put the cone inside the tube. Cut the ends off the cone and stick the wide end down.

EMILY: That's it! But, where do the coloured ribbons come from?

LUISA: Aha! The magic happens right here! The last step is to hide some coloured ribbons in the secret part.

EMILY: Abracadabra!

LUISA: Wow! That was really good!

EMILY: Thanks!

LUISA: We hope you enjoyed our magic trick. Have fun trying it at home!

LUISA AND EMILY: Bye!

LUISA: Remember! To do the magic trick:

  • roll a piece of card into a tube shape and stick it down
  • roll a piece of card into a cone shape and stick it down
  • put the cone inside the tube
  • cut the ends off the cone and stick the wide end down
  • hide some ribbons in the secret part.

That's it! Now you can do the magic trick.
