Do you celebrate Easter? If so, what do you do? What's your favourite part of the Easter holiday? If not, what do you know about this holiday?

Hi WonderfulPlastic10,

Easter is a spring festival of new life. It is a very important festival in the Christian calendar and many Christians attend special church services at Easter time. Easter celebrates life and rebirth, which is why we see lots of symbols like eggs, chicks and rabbits at this time.
For most British children, Easter means chocolate Easter eggs. Children receive Easter eggs from their family members and friends. Sometimes eggs are hidden and children go on "Easter egg hunts". There are other traditions too, such as painting eggs and making spring hats. You can watch a video of a girl making a spring hat on our website.
Why don't you try making your own?

Best wishes,

We don't celebrate Easter, but we do celebrate a party called "Novruz"
