Emily didn't have any brothers or sisters, and her parents were often busy working. But Emily was never bored because she loved being on her own in the garden. She liked listening to the birds singing in the trees and she loved looking for insects and other small creatures in the long grass.

One day, Emily found a frog in a bucket. Or rather, the frog found Emily. It popped its head up right next to Emily, looked her straight in the eye and seemed to want to talk to her.

Emily could feel that the frog was special. 'I'll call you Mr Hopper,' she said.

Just then, Mr Hopper hopped out of the bucket. He jumped through the long grass and across the garden. Emily was curious and followed him. He suddenly stopped at a big stone. Mr Hopper looked at the stone, and then he looked at Emily.

Emily immediately knew what Mr Hopper wanted her to do. She pushed back the big, heavy stone, and there was a strange-looking hole. The hole looked small from the outside, but it seemed very big and bright on the inside.

Mr Hopper looked at Emily again, and then hopped quickly into the hole.

'What shall I do?' thought Emily. 'Shall I follow him? Where will the hole take me?'

Emily felt a tiny bit scared, but she was excited at the same time. She put her foot into the hole very slowly and then ...

Top tips

  1. If the story is in the past, use past tense verbs to continue it. Emily found a frog. The frog jumped through the grass.
  2. Use adjectives to describe things and how people feel: the long grass; She felt a bit scared.
  3. Use adverbs to say how people or animals do things: he suddenly stopped; she put her foot into the hole very slowly.
  4. Use speech marks when people talk or think. 'I'll call you Mr Hopper,' she said. 'What shall I do?' she thought.

Emily felt a tiny bit scared, but she was excited at the same time. She put her foot into the hole very slowly and then her whole body went inside the hole. When she reached at the bottom of the hole and touched the ground inside the hole, she saw a beautiful giant garden with full of beautiful animals, birds, butterflies and many more amazing and wonderful things. Then she started following the frog again. When Emily and frog reached to the end of the beautiful garden, she saw a magical circle through the end of the garden. The frog and Emily jumped in where Emily got shocked when she saw a secret window opening in her house, from where that frog was watching Emily. And suddenly that frog started talking to Emily and again she was amazed to hear how can a frog talk. Then that frog told her that she is a princess and she is under a spell of black witch. I can only get out from the spell if a pure hearted person touches me and give love.
Then Emily felt bad for the princess and picked up a frog and hugged. Suddenly that frog turned to a beautiful princess.
Emily and Princess Sara became very happy and started walking towards the palace where princess family was living.
Both of them arrived to the palace and told the whole story to king and queen. They both became very happy and gave a lot of jewels and money to Emily as reward for saving their daughter.
They called Emily family to palace and requested them to live with them because their daughter saved princess and now they both are good friends.
From that time until now they are living happily in the palace.

Emily felt a tiny bit scared, but she was excited at the same time. She put her foot into the hole very slowly and then ... she fell and it was exciting! She felt scared. Inside the hole, it was new and different. Emily felt scared and excited again.

I think this will happen

... A big, fat toad will push Emily's foot out of the way and the big, fat toad will close the hole and Emily would fall over and when her family members come they will be asking question and Emily told them what had happened they would not believe.
