In 1605 a man called Guy Fawkes was part of a plan to blow up the English parliament, but he was discovered and didn't succeed. To celebrate this day, people usually go to a fireworks display and burn a model of Guy Fawkes on a big fire!

We celebrate Diwali/Deepawali in my country.
We put rangoli in our doorway, brighten up oil lamps in our houses and decorate our homes.
Bursting crackers or bonfires plays an essential role in Diwali.
And finally we spend a lovely evening with our friend and family.
In Mexico we celebrate with fireworks also in Independence day. We never celebrate with bonfires.
