Bonfire Night

Your Turn: Bonfire Night

In Britain, 5 November is Bonfire Night, the anniversary of a plot to kill the king.

In 1605 a man called Guy Fawkes was part of a plan to blow up the English parliament, but he was discovered and didn't succeed. To celebrate this day, people usually go to a fireworks display and burn a model of Guy Fawkes on a big fire!

Do you have a celebration with fireworks in your country? Or do you have a special day for any characters from history? Tell us about it and how you celebrate!

We celebrate Diwali/Deepawali in my country. Bursting crackers or bonfires play an essential role in Diwali. And finally, we spend a lovely night with our friends and family.

Hello !!! We celebrate Diwali/Deepawali in my country. We put rangoli in our doorway, brighten up oil lamps in our houses and decorate our homes. Bursting crackers or bonfires plays an essential role in Diwali. And finally we spend a lovely evening with our friend and family.
