I've been helping 7-year-old bilingual children with their reading and try to use story books to encourage and motivate them to read more. Some books that we have enjoyed together are 'Class Six and the Very Big Rabbit' and some fairy tales, including 'Rumpelstiltskin' and 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'.
Do you have any other book recommendations for this age group?

We have a list of websites that offer free online stories for kids. Go to http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/parents/websites and search the topic 'stories'.
One of my favourite sites is Signed Stories http://www.signedstories.com. It features lots of great picture books and stories. The site is designed for deaf children to use, so all of the stories are shown with audio, text and British sign language.
I hope you'll find some stories for your daughter to enjoy!
