Dear Learn English Kids. team,

Hi Marisa,
One of the things we do to keep the site safe for children, is that we don't allow adults to comment on the main pages of the website. Parents and teachers use this forum to make comments and have discussions. So if you would like to post anything about the contents of the site, feel free to do so on these pages.
Best Wishes

Hi
The above are referred to 5-7years
I have visited the website for age 9-11
Which website should I pay more attention to teach age 10-11
I found the school English papers such as comprehension, etc in Singapore are much more harder than the website found here
How do I get help on grammar and others? Which website should I look for?
Your advise is much appreciated
Thank you
Thanks very much for your comment.
Have you tried the activities in our grammar section?
http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/grammar
There are games, videos, quizzes, tests and grammar reference cards.
The grammar section is aimed at learners aged approximately between 9 and 12 and focuses on grammar points which correspond to CEF level A1 and A2.
You might also like to look at some of our links to other websites which are useful for children learning English.
http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/parents/websites
You can search specifically for 'grammar' or a range of other subjects.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes

Angelica- You can make learning English so entertaining when you use the resources on this site as well as on many others. Why do you want to teach grammar to your young children? If you first encourage them to listen attentively to sounds, intonation and words used to communicate in different situations then to practice speaking, the reading and writing will follow. Help them learn automatisms in real situations. Later, if they have difficulties writing clearly there are resources available.
I would just like to remind you that the question is "Do you speak English?" and not "Have you memorized grammar rules?"
While I'm at it, if you want your children to speak English, don't ask them for translations. That is a different process and it could actually harm your children's learning progress.
Suerte!
please tell me how can i teach my children english specially speaking and grammar, they r 5 and 7 years old.
Thankyou.
Hi. Our new Speak and Spell section is great for young children: http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/speak-and-spell
This section focuses on speaking and spelling for very young learners. There are songs, stories, games and tests to practise pronunciation and spelling. For 5-year-olds the songs in the Sounds section are perfect: http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/sounds
7-year-olds can practise English with any of the learning materials in Speak and Spell and can try some of the spelling tests in Tricky words: http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/tricky-words
Tell us what you think!

Dear Angelica
We are developing some grammar materials for this website to help you support your child's learning. The key to teaching grammar to young learners in my opinion, is always putting the grammar point into a context and letting your child create their own contexts so it's easier for them to remember.
I'll let you know when the grammar materials will be ready.
Thanks for sending in your question and if anyone else would like to help Angelica please send in your comments too.
