Hi, thank you for your question about children's dictionaries for downloading.
Have you tried the English picture dictionary on the Enchanted Learning website?
http://www.enchantedlearning.com/Dictionary.html
You might also like to check the flashcards section of the LearnEnglish Kids website. We have lots of images and you might find what you need here:
http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/en/category/interactive-types/flashcards
You could use the flashcard maker tool on the British Council's Teaching English website to make your own flashcards.

I hope this helps

Dear Irma,
Some of our materials are available for download, but unfortunately others are not, for copyright reasons.
On certain pages, underneath the orange screen, you will see 'Download audio 1MB (right click and save).'
For example, the song 'Ten Little Aeroplanes' is available for download.

I hope this helps.

Hi Rashmi,
Best is to start with words and then move to sentences. My six year old is an excellent reader. And all the help he got was at school. Schools here in UK have a very good styles. They do short stories and find all difficult words. These words are written/printed on small cards and the child is first made to learn these words. You can play games by sticking words on four walls and asking him to bring as you say.
You don't have to worry too much about where to find words. You can simply pick up from his text book. Once child learns the words he will be able to read.
Also remember that all children have learning difficulties and need support at home and at school.
Hope this helps.

Dear Rashmit,
Thank you for your question.
I think that the most important thing at this age is to make reading fun. Talk about the pictures in a story. Repeat the same story and let your son fill in some of the words as you point to them. Be sure to encourage him by giving him lots of praise.
Have you used some of the short stories on the LearnEnglish Kids website with your son?

There are lots to choose from. You could try watching and listening to a story, and once your son is familiar with the story, try watching it again with the sound off. Encourage him to read or identify words or phrases from the screen.

I hope that helps.
Best wishes
