Hi, my name is Sofia. I am 11. I live in Russia - Novorossiysk. We celebrate the New Year, because our country is the most famous holiday. Before the New Year people buy gifts, set and decorate the Christmas tree. At midnight on New Year`s holiday all go to each other`s homes, and congratulation. In our will come to us Grandpa Frost. And in the morning is already a lot of gifts, under the tree!

I celebrate christmas in my uncle's house with my cousins in Catalunya, and we have lunch all my family in his house.
And I give my presents to my cousins and frends too. My favourite part of the Christmas holiday is every day because i don't have to go in school.
Though I am not a christian, I love Christmas. In my country Sri Lanka, everyone, almost everyone celebrates Christmas though they are not christians. Christmas is my second best favorite holiday. My favorite holiday is Sinhala and Hindu Culturul New Year which falls on the 14th of April every year. That is close to my birthday, 20th April. So, I get alot of presents for new year and my birthday. On Christmas Day, we don't do anything special but we listen to Christmas songs and watch movies and Christmas concerts on T.V. The very special thing is my dad takes my family out to dinner or lunch somewhere special and most of the time we go Christmas shopping. That's exciting. We decorate a Christmas tree and light crackers and wire sparkles as well. We give food and money to the poor and needy and street beggars. I LOVE CHRISTMAS! CHRISTMAS ROCKS!

Hello!!! I'm from Russia. In my country people like the New Year day better than Christmas.So, we eat special food, have a Christmas tree, do some another traditional things, dance, play and have fun at night : 31st December-1st January - when we celebrate New Year.

I celebrate Christmas every year!!! Here where I live we decorate the house with a Christmas Tree, lights around the apartment, and boots with pictures of Santa Claus in it . In Christmas day, I cook with my family what we're gonna eat eat in the special dinner. At night we meet friends and family, talk and have a interesting time. At midnight we have a special the dinner with family and friends. After the dinner we wait some minutes and start to give presents to family and friends. We don't just give the present. Example: I take the one that I'm gonna give and I start talking how the person that I gonna give the present It is, after they know who is the person, I give the present!!!

I am chloé and I am french(I live in france).In my country,people decorate the house for chritmas.We decorate the fir tree with garlands, Christmas baubles...Tthe whole house is decorated. On chritmas eve,people go to church(for religious people).We have a late supper and we eat foie gras, a special christmas cake,(called log because it looks like a log).It's the best meal of the year!!!!!! After,father christmas comes and gives presents.We open it. In some regions (in france) people have 13 desserts.

Hi, my name is Veronica. And yes, I do celebrate Christmas on the 25th December. I live in United Kingdom. On the 1st day of Decmber we buy an advent calendar and eat 1 chocolate each day, (it has numbers on it so we don't get mixed up, we have to open little windows) on 25th December there's a special chocolate that is slightly different to others! I am from Poland so on the 24th we prepare all the Christmas dinner and then on the 25th we have a Christmas dinner. The best thing about Christmas is that we, Polish people, wait until the evening on the 25th and open the presents! We also leave some cookies and warm milk on the 24th to thank the Santa for bringing the presents! We have 12 Christmas dishes. We always leave a spare seat with an empty plate for the "traveller" that might knock at the door at any time on 25th. Christmas is a really happy, joyful day for Polish people! We decorate our house with Christmas decorations. Oh, and I almost forgot, we have a Christmas tree as well as in England. Although we're in England, we still celebrate Christmas in our own Polish way!
P.S. This year I'm getting some ice-skating shoes!
