In Spain, the carnival is very typical. We wear fancy dress. We wear funny masks and we eat sweet cakes. There is a king of the carnival called "Carnestoltes''. There is always music and a parade!
I celebrate carnival and mummy makes lovely costumes. I was an astraunat andill moon cheese monster. the costumes are very colourful. I have a carnival party at school every year. I have 3 days off and mummy takes me to the city to see the floats. There will be plenty of music and dance and food.

In Canada the people are not celebrating Carneval,bath there celebrating Halloween.
In Croatia we have many carnivals. One of them is in Ogulin, Fairy tales carnival from Ivana Brlić Mažuranić.
I've never been to a carival. I've even never seen it too!!!!!!! Because in Vietnam they don't celebrate any carival.
In Malta we celebrate a very colourful carnival.

I celebrate Carnival at school playing in my fancy-dress costume and eating special food. We eat snacks like "Orejas" and pancakes. "Orejas" is a special recipe from Galicia, Spain and you need flour, eggs, water with salt, sugar, butter, aniseed and baking powder. I love "orejas" ! This year I'm wearing a Dark Vader fancy-dress costume. We have three days off school. In my city, in Vigo, we go to the streets and wear our fancy dresses and play with other boys and girls.
Yes, in my country has a Carnival and is a bigger Carnival in yhe world.
In Brazil, people goe at the parade and watch the schools of samba!
Doesn´t have spacials foods in carnival and this days don´t have school, it´s a holiday.

Yes, i celebrate it.It is a very beatiful party.In my country the city that celebrates this party is Elbasan.In this day i wear a special custome but i hate clowns.We eat special foods.

This morning I woke up by my alarm clock at 2:00 am because It was broken! And it was the weekend! I was SO annoyed so I decided to fight it! In the end, I don't know who won. I was awake and shivering because it was still early and my alarm clock was broken. Oops....

we do have carnivals ! my school carnivalsis just few days later and its Charity Escapade its to raise money for the needies and as well we have a culture festival its to learn more about the games that your friend in other culture plays its kind of fun and it does not have holidays and thers diffrent kind of food cuisine ! There are lots of parties in Spain. In most cities and towns there is a 'Fiesta mayor' in the summer. This is usually a whole week of concerts and special activities. In my village we have concerts and parties in the square every evening, and in the daytime there are activities for everyone, children, adults and old people. It's good fun!
What do you do to celebrate the Charity Escapade? That sounds like fun, and you raise money too. I like the idea!

My carnival usually is boring (ý) I stay at home watching the Rio de Janeiro carnival! I like Unidos da Tijuca and Grande Rio. This year, who won was Beija Flor, they were very beautiful, talking about "the king", Roberto Carlos.
On the tuesday of carnival, I went to the matinee because I'm not old enough to go on carnival night D: yeah, this is sad!
But still I had fun with my friends. ;]

We don't celebrate carnival just like in Brasil.But it is celebrate it in a town called Korca.We also celebrate Summer's day which is a traditional holiday it is dedicated to summer our favourite season.IT IS CELEBRATED IN 14.03.2011 IN A CITY CALLED ELBASAN.They cook a kind of cookie called "ballokume"& a lot of tourist come from Macedonia,Montenegro etc..Than they do the parade in the avenue.We love this holiday & the cookie is delicious.

Hello! I'm Leticia. I live in Brazil and I like carnival because I don't go to school. Here have many schools of samba, for example: Grande Rio, Mangueira, Beija -Flor, Salgueiro and Vai-Vai. The huge carnival are celebrated in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador. In these cities, people wear different fancy-dress costume. I never visited these places in the carnival.

Last weekend held the carnival in my village. I went with my cousin and her friends and my sister asking for food, drinks or money dressed up. My counsin was little red riding hood, one of her friends was a nun and the other was a Robin Hood girl;my sister was a parrot and I was a mine-worker. We saw a famous man. My mother made crêpes and "ears" food tipical in Galicia. I had a lot of fun.

Is a very important festival dressed up many guisses of all shapes and sizesfor example de vampire we also diving with funny or scary masks.
