Terms of Use
Children's Terms of Use
We want LearnEnglish Kids to be a fun place for children to learn English, but we also want it to be a safe place. For this reason we ask all members to follow house rules. Please have a look at these rules with your parent, carer or teacher.
We also want this site to help you learn and practise English, and we encourage you to send in your work. Please make sure that any work that you send in is your own work, and that you haven't copied it or taken it from anywhere else without getting permission. This means comments, stories, reviews, poems or any art work. Don't worry if there are mistakes in your work - we do not expect everything to be in perfect English.
It is important that you tell your parent, carer or teacher before becoming a site member. Remember to always follow the house rules when you send comments in to the site. It is very important that you do not give out personal information such as your name, address, phone numbers or email address. It is also very important to be respectful of other site members. If you see or read something that you don't like, please let us know.

That means that you may use the same material yourself in another context. You may only submit material that you have written yourself. If your submission makes use of any other printed material, like a quote from a storybook, you must send us full details. The British Council reserve the limited right to use your contributions on their web sites and related publications, and by submitting your work you are deemed to have given permission for such use. If the British Council or another organisation wishes to use your work in an unrelated publication we will seek your permission.
While every effort is made to check copyright prior to publication, if you see material on this site for which you believe you hold the copyright, please let us know immediately.
